Pre- K Lottery
Dear Jericho Community,
The Jericho School District is anticipating the continuation of our Universal Pre-K (UPK) program for August 2026. Please note that this program is contingent upon state funding. Although we have not yet received confirmation from New York State, we want to ensure we are prepared if/when the grant is approved. The lottery will be held on January 21, 2025.
To be eligible for the Jericho Universal Pre-K program, children must:
- Be residents of the Jericho School District
- Turn four years old on or before December 1, 2026
The Universal Pre-K program will take place at Jeffrey Ratner Robert Seaman Elementary School and will run Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM.
Please note that transportation is not provided; families must arrange their own transportation. Because interest is typically high, a lottery will be used to select students for the available slots. If twins register, once one twin is selected, the other is automatically admitted.
Additional names drawn after all seats are filled will be placed on a waiting list in the order selected.
To participate in the lottery, please submit this form (scan QR code above) by Friday, January 16, 2026.
The lottery will be open TODAY.
