National Italian Exam Contest 2024

Jericho High School students participated again in the National Italian Exam competition.  In 2024, two students won gold medals.  The winners are Ethan Yeung and Jack Li, both of whom are 10th grade students.  Each winner was awarded a monetary prize of $50 from the National Italian Exam organization.  Jericho High School also had bronze and silver medal winners as well. 

The exam is organized by the American Association of Teachers of Italian.  Exam Contest results were determined according to the national percentile distribution, and a monetary prize was determined on the basis of the national results.  We congratulate our Jericho High School students on this tremendous accomplishment, and on their demonstrated outstanding proficiency in the Italian language.  We also thank Ms. Suriani, teacher of Italian, who coordinated the contest at Jericho High School.
