Italian Honor Society Tiramisù 2024

At an after-school event on May 30, 2024, students of Italian Honor Society met to create tiramisù - a popular Italian dessert.   Students worked in teams to diligently prepare the delicacy in phases.  Ms. Suriani, faculty advisor of the Italian Honor Society, conducted a demonstration of each phase, and students replicated the steps at their own kitchen stations.  Students personalized their dessert with a design at the very end.  Among the ingredients were Savoiardi biscuits (ladyfingers), espresso, and cocoa powder.  

We thank Ms. Suriani for leading the students in this fun culinary adventure.  This activity aligns to the national ACTFL learning standards for foreign languages (Culture: Products; Practices), and the revised NYSED learning standards (standard 4).
