Universal Pre-K

REGISTRATION OPEN FOR 2025-2026 UPK REGISTRATIONDear Jericho Community,

The Jericho School District anticipates continuing the Universal Pre-K (UPK) program when school starts in August 2025. However, this program is contingent upon state-funding. We have not received confirmation from New York State regarding funding, but we do want to be prepared if and when the grant is once again provided to us. To be eligible for the Jericho School District’s UPK program, a child must be a Jericho School District resident as of December 31, 2024. Additionally, a child must be four years old on or before December 1, 2025.

The Jericho UPK program will only be able to accommodate a limited number of students. The program will take place at Jeffrey Ratner Robert Seaman Elementary School. It will run Monday through Friday, five hours a day (9:00am-2:00pm), five days a week. Families are responsible for their own transportation – buses will not be available for the program.

Due to high interest, a lottery will be held to determine the students who can participate in the program. When twins register, if one is selected by lottery, the other is automatically admitted to the program. Student names that are pulled after slots are filled will be put on a waiting list in the order their number was drawn.

To be eligible for the lottery,  fill out the form linked HERE by January 17, 2025.    Please email UPK@jerichoschools.org with any questions.
