A Visit to the Cold Spring Harbor

DNA Lab

We learned a lot about our own traits in the museum.

Our fingerprints have a lot of swirls and whorls.

We couldn't wait to see what was behind these doors!!

Extracting DNA from bacteria is not an easy task, but we did it!

We had to be very careful to put just the right amount of dishwashing liquid into the test tube.

If we put the alcohol in too quickly the experiment would not have been a success. It was!

This is pretty cool looking.

Learning about evolution was fascinating, and a little scary too.

We worked very closely and carefully and the experiment was successful.

We are having a great time working in this high tech lab.
