Mrs. Bennett's Marvelous Storytellers

April 1, 2004

"Choosing to tell a story from memory requires many skills. The storyteller must allow the story to come to life with the use of body language, clarity of voice and eye contact. Storytelling is a natural way to improve language skills and a wonderful way to entertain others. In fact, storytelling has been a source of entertainment since the beginning of time. Our storytelling activities began with a simple visit to the library. Then a selection was made based on personal interest. Last, but not least, practice began for a period of time. Finally, the presentations were made to our classmates. Feedback from classmates was essential, and then our "class finalists" were chosen based on certain criteria." (Mrs. Bennett)
