Jericho Middle School's Fifth Annual
National Geographic Geography Bee

was an educational and exciting activity for all !

January 9, 2009

On Friday, January 9, 2009 the finals and championship rounds of the National Geographic Geography Bee took place in the auditorium during an assembly for the entire Jericho Middle School. There were ten finalists on stage from the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. The finalists, the runner-up, and the champion received certificates, awards, and keepsake memorabilia on stage. The champion, Preeti, will take a written state test to qualify for the New York State Bee in April, and possibly the national-level geography bee in May, down in Washington D.C. The runner-up during the champion round was Marlena. Congratulations to all the finalists of this special event!

  • Sixth Grade - Daniel and Jonathan
  • Seventh Grade -Michael, Andrew, Preeti, Paul, and Alex
  • Eighth Grade - Marlena, Noah, and Spencer
  • 2 Alternatives - Jonah (7th grade) and Nicole (8th grade)
