Basketball at Jackson
Eric and Brian of the Nassau County Kings Basketball Team dazzled the students at Jackson. In conjunction with National Disabilities Awareness Week, Eric and Brian demonstrated their wheelchair basketball playing abilities. They shared their life stories with the children and answered questions about their disability. Through playing wheelchair basketball, they have traveled and met many new people. Playing wheelchair basketball has opened many new doors for them and it has given them many wonderful opportunities to show that being disabled is not limiting. Many Jericho staff members joined Eric and Brian and the entire Nassau County Kings Basketball Team at the annual Jericho Cares Wheelchair Basketball Game. It was a wonderful evening. Thank you to all of the Jackson families for coming out and supporting this exciting event!
