In an effort to make research materials, standards, and approaches highly accessible to all Jericho High School students, we have created "OGRE," Jericho High School's Online Guide to Research Essentials. English teachers Dr. Michael Hartnett and Kenneth Darr, and School Library Media Specialist Denise Ryder, have authored materials on topic selection, thesis statements, outlines, note taking, documentation alternatives, transition paragraphs, paraphrasing, bibliographic citation, Web site evaluation, and much more. Many tips on how to improve research papers are given. This Web site also offers a rubric that will give students a better understanding of the standards by which they will be evaluated.
