Meet the Speech/Language Pathologists

 

Cantiague School is lucky to have two Speech/Language Therapists. Mrs. Burn and Mrs. Kelly. Each therapist works closely with parents and teachers to help children improve their speech and language skills. The therapists work on improving students' listening and speaking skills, articulation and oral motor skills, voice quality, fluency, auditory processing skills, phonological development, early literacy skills, and pragmatic development.

 

 

Mrs. Burn

Mrs. Burn is married and has a daughter named Kelly. Mrs. Burn spends part of her summer at her house in Nova Scotia. She is fluent in sign language. Mrs. Burn goes into each Kindergarten class weekly and teaches lessons on listening skills, phonological development, social skills, and language skills.

Mrs. Kelly is married and has dog and 2 cats. She enjoys walking on the beach, gardening, reading and cooking. Mrs. Kelly helps students to improve their listening, speaking and writing skills to reach the NY State Standards for English Languae Arts.
