Assembly
On Thursday, September 18, the Jericho Fire Department visited Cantiague Elementary School. The local volunteer firefighters presented two assemblies, one for our students in grades kindergarten, first and second, and one for our students in grades third through fifth. The focus of these assemblies was to teach the children about fire prevention and fire safety so that they can be educated and prepared in case of an emergency. The assemblies included a new video presentation and an appearance by the local fire house Dalmatian, who rode around the stage in his own miniature fire truck! The children were engaged and enthusiastic during the assemblies and are already looking forward to the next time the fire fighters visit our school!
